Leave of Absence (LOA) Applications for the 2026/27 Patrol Season
To our Active Members
LOA must be submitted before each season. Please follow the below link to apply for an LOA, if these following Guidelines apply to you:
Distance
Members are eligible for Leave of Absence if living far away for at least 6 months and are unlikely to visit the Club during the Season, and are therefore unable to feasibly swap patrols to fulfil obligations. A social visit during the Christmas Break is fine.
Living Far away means:
- Overseas/interstate.
- More than 500kms - This is the principal driver because it is most measurable.
- More than 5 hours’ drive (this is a guideline).
Medical Leave of Absence
Leave of Absence may also be applied for in extenuating medical circumstances at the discretion of the Management Committee.
Parental Leave
Leave of Absence can be applied for by the primary caregiver to a child within a year of birth or due to pregnancy. This can be either a half or full Season and should be only available once per child unless extenuating circumstances.
