Active Members are eligible to apply for Active Reserve status if 25 years of age and after the completion of 6 years as an Active Patrolling Member (which includes their Probationary year).
Only Active Reserve Members are eligible to apply to become Members of The Cabbage Tree Club (CTC) or The Pacific Club (PC). The CTC/PC constitutionally do not accept Active SLSC Members. Members are completely free to stay as Active Reserve Members of the SLSC, it is not compulsory to join the CTC/PC. The 2024 Active Reserve Application Form, pricing and process is below.
ACTIVE RESERVE APPLICATION FORM
Fees as of May 2024
SLSC Active Annual Subscriptions are $266.00.
SLSC Active Reserve Annual Subscriptions are $474.00.
Once approved by the Palm Beach SLSC Management Committee, Members would need to pay an additional $208.00 to go from Active to Active Reserve of the SLSC (once their Active Annual Subscriptions have been paid, if after May).
**Please note until an Active Member is approved by the Management Committee (via the Office) as a new Active Reserve, that Member remains on the Active list and still needs to Patrol.**
If you are thinking of joining The Cabbage Tree Club or The Pacific Club
CTC and PC Active Reserve Annual Subscriptions are $786.00, however for the initial move across to the CTC or PC, there is no joining fee for CTC/PC Active Reserves, you will pay your first CTC/PC Annual Subscriptions when issued the following May.
CTC and PC Active Reserve (Under 30) Annual Subscriptions are $508.00, however for the initial move across to the CTC or PC, there is no joining fee for new CTC/PC Active Reserves, you will pay your first CTC/PC Annual Subscriptions when issued the following May.

The process is as follows:
- Complete the below pdf document and return your Application to memberships@palmbeachslsc.com.
- Your eligibility is checked to make sure you are 25 years of age and have done 6 years (your Probationary/Fresher year + 5 years as Active).
- If eligible, the Member will go on the Confluence list waiting for approval by the Palm Beach SLSC (PBSLSC) Management Committee once a month.
- If approved, the Member will need to pay an additional $208.00 to go from being a PBSLSC Active Member to a PBSLSC Active Reserve Member.
- If the Member has filled in the appropriate section of the form to indicate they wish to apply for Active Reserve Membership of The Cabbage Tree Club or The Pacific Club, their names will go to the CTC or PC Committee for their consideration.
- Once approved by the Committee, prospective new Members are entered on to a 30 Day Membership Circular for all current CTC/PC Members to review.
- After this 30 Day period has ended, with no objections, they are provisionally elected and will receive a Welcome Letter from The Cabbage Tree Club or The Pacific Club, with a new CTC or PC Member Number.
- The last step is for a short Induction with the General Manager, or nominated representative, when the Member also receives the Club House Rules and their CTC/PC car parking sticker.
- Once inducted, the Member is officially elected.
