An update from the club's Surfboat Captain, Peter Spence

PALMY ARMY BOATIES
Last weekend we had 15 Palmy crews race in the SNB Branch Surfboat Championships in a typical Newport Beach shorey that was tricky to negotiate, especially if the starters put you into one!

We had great results as seen below with 9 of our 15 crews winning a medal - 3 x Gold, 5 x Silver & a Bronze:

Surfboat Relay – Peter Pans (Coxy), Popes (Spency) & Pirates (Coxy) – not run as the conditions were too dangerous on the edge to have crew changeovers

Congratulations to all crews on a great result for the Club, on Total Medals Palmy won the day, however South Curly did win 4 Gold to our 3 Gold.

SNB Branch Premiership Results
This is the pointscore results from all SNB Surfboat Carnivals in a season, winning crews win the SNB Surfboat Premiership for each of the 8 Divisions and this season Palmy have won 3 of the 8 (Avalon x 2, Collaroy x 2, South Curl x 1).
Great results with 10 crews getting medals - 3 x Gold, 4 x Silver & 3 x Bronze – this would easily be the best results for any Club in the SNB Premiership.
