Sat 28 Sep 2024 08:45 — Sun 27 Apr 2025 16:30
Palm Beach Surf Lifesaving Club, 31 Ocean Road Palm Beach NSW 2108

Event information

Registration for this event closes at Wed 05 Feb 2025 11:00.

If you are an Active Member of the Palm Beach SLSC (i.e. not a Probationary or Active Reserve Member) and wish to apply for a Leave of Absence (LOA) from your Patrolling Requirements for 2024/2025, please answer the questions within, and the Office will be in touch once the Palm Beach SLSC Management Committee are able to consider your Request.

BEFORE submitting your Request, the LOA Guidelines are as follows:

Distance: Members are eligible for LOA if living far away for at least 6 months and are unlikely to visit the club during the Season, and are therefore unable to feasibly swap Patrols to fulfil obligations. A social visit during the Christmas Break is fine.

Living Far away means:

  • Overseas/interstate.
  • More than 500 kms - This is the principal driver because it is most measurable.
  • More than 5 hours' drive (this is a guideline).

Medical Leave of Absence: LOA may also be applied for in extenuating medical circumstances at the discretion of the Management Committee.

Parental Leave: LOA can be applied for by the primary caregiver to a child within a year of birth or due to pregnancy. This can be either a half or full Season, and should be only available once per child unless extenuating circumstances.

Please organise Patrol Swaps until you receive official confirmation your LOA has been approved via the Office.

Many thanks
